Understanding FEM

FE Modelling

This module will help you become skilled at creating Finite Element (FE) models for different CAD models, whether they are simple or complex in shape.

In this module, you'll learn how to manage and prepare CAD models to create a Finite Element Model (FEM).

You'll also gain a thorough understanding of the various methods for building an FE model and learn editing techniques to ensure the FE model meets the required quality standards.

Understanding Materials and Properties

Understanding the different material models is important for a Mechanical Engineer.

This module will provide you with the knowledge needed to master different materials, extract material data, and identify which material properties are essential for different types of analyses

Connections / Assembly

An assembly of a structure is made by joining the required components by screws, bolts, rivets, joints (revolute, cylindrical, spherical....), welds (spot welds, seam welds...) and adhesive glues.

If the assembly is not connected properly, the functionality of the assembly structure will give a different results with respect to the expected results.

This module will help you to mastery the assembly process using connections and the type of connections to be used at the relevant locations.

In this module, you will gain mastery over the tools to create FE model from the basic to advanced models.

This course includes covering the basics of FEM, getting started with Hypermesh, different exercises to gain you good experience in modelling.
